  it was very welcoming and it was clean rooms very spacious all staff were great and helpful, food was also very good and prices were good. would go back any time and would recommend it to anyone,also tony b live entertainer on thursday nights is very good

  Room was fab and worth the money however the attitude of the staff left a lot to be desired. We booked two rooms. As soon as we got there we were made to feel like we were criminals being followed.
  We also had friends from the hospitality business join us. We were all appalled at the service and treatment we received.
  We spent all night in the bar. When the bar man left a man called Thomas took over. Weer had been told that the bar was open all night to residents but Thomas said he was closing the bar at ten and we would have to take drinks to our room. He moved it to eleven then 12 after a protest. There were other customers in the bar who he served after we went to bed. He drank vodka all night and got offensive like we were in the way. Totally unprofessional . We had spent in excess of 100 pound and it would have been so much more but we were treated terrible. Never known anything like it.

  The York hotel is a very nice welcoming place. The staff were funny and very friendly upon arrival. The food we had for our evening was a Christmas set menu which was surprisingly nice and the service was very efficient. I would recommend!
